Farm worker: first day

Your job is the data that everything else depends on: what happened to the birds today. It is built for a phone in the house, with gloves on, with or without signal.

If your home screen shows Setup in progress, your owner or manager is still setting up the sites and lots. Once the first lot is placed, your daily capture appears here - check back shortly.

If a Lot is ready but no real figure has been recorded yet, /onboarding shows one Record your first figures mission. It links to the Lots you can open and disappears after the first qualifying capture is observed.

The daily routine

1. Open the right flock or egg set. From /lots/list, open the Lot you are working with. PoultryDesk uses Lot as the common label for a flock or hatchery egg set.
2. Record mortality. The mortality round starts with one Lot in the first farm. Use the Lots picker or All farms for a bulk round. A new entry adds deaths; a recorded day loads read-only with a Recorded badge. To correct that day's total, double-click its value and enter a reason. Review Recorded before, Change, Day total after and Live birds after, then confirm. A correction can reduce the total to zero without deleting the original record.
3. Record feed. Use the Feed round's Manual capture tab for measured figures. The displayed round can save or queue without a signal. If you change its date, wait for that day's Lots, birds, Feed item and stock status to reload. On a Lot's Feed form, check the selected-day state and any Queued decisions before editing. Use Retry Feed state when the read is unavailable. Correction and Not fed require a checked day and synced queued decisions; another feed use can still queue offline.
4. Record eggs (layers). For layer flocks, enter each egg collection.
5. Submit. Tap submit. A queued badge appears and the entry is saved on the device immediately.

Watch out

If mortality history cannot load, the page says so and shows Unavailable instead of a made-up zero. You can still queue new additional deaths offline, but a recorded-day correction needs its prior total. Live birds after uses the current Lot count, not a historical day-end count.

Daily entry works with no signal. The entry is stored on the phone and syncs automatically when you are back online - you can keep working and even close the app. You do not record sales or expenses; that is the finance side and is handled by managers by default.
